In 1967, Nitto Kasei commenced the manufacture and sale of stannous octoate as a foaming catalyst for soft polyurethane. We also began using organo-tin compounds - which had been used as PVC stabilizers - as polyurethane catalysts, expanding the possibility of organo-tin compounds. Since then we have put the unique properties of various tin compounds to practical use as silicone bridging catalyst, esterification catalyst, epoxy hardening accelerator, glass coating agent, electrical conduction coating film, reaction protecting group,
rubber lubricant, paint coloring additive and so on, materials found in all sorts of products ranging from kitchen sponges to aerospace industry.
We have also expanded our activity to the fine chemical synthesis of pharmaceutical intermediates, preform for electronic materials and others.
We intend to ensure a stable supply of our existing products, while continuing to explore new possibilities in all areas for further progress and development.
